Indivisible by Kristen Heitzmann

Interesting read.  It starts off a bit slow and disjointed, but once you get into it, it turns into a page turner.  Police Chief Jonah Westfall investigates some strange goings on in the city starting with the discovery of two racoons that are sewn together.  He warns Tia who he has a past with to be careful as they were found where she walks home each day.  She doesn't like his bossiness, but does try to be more aware.  It can be difficult to read at times as the crimes are detailed, but it is still a good read. Mine is the NIght by Liz Curtis Higgs

A great finish to the story of the Kerr women.  It tells the story of Elizabeth and Marjory Kerr her mother in law and how they continue their lives after the death of Elizabeth's husband.  They must depend on a distant relative for their care.  The description of 17th Century Scotland was very insightful.  A delightful book that is well worth reading. Plain Wisdom by Cindy Woodsmall and Marian Flaud

An interesting insight into the Old Order Amish and an English view of that life.  This book details the friendship between Cindy and Marian and tells of visits with one another.  It gives insights into their lives, their everyday living, and how each views the others life.  Also included are several great recipes.  I have enjoyed several of Cindy's books and it is interesting to get a nonfiction view as to how the books relate. God Loves Me More Than That by Dandi Daley Mackall

Wonderful kids book.  They just loved the pictures and comparing how much God loves them.  The football scene was especially relevant to them as they love football.  And they liked the kitten too. "I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review"

The Bridge of Peace (Ada's House Book 2) Cindy Woodsmall

I could hardly put this book down once I started reading it.  It is one that leaves you wanting to know how things will work out with the characters and how they handle the obstacles that are thrown at them. It gives you insight into how the Amish think and deal with everyday life.  It was interesting to see how Cara and Lori were fitting into Amish life and how Deborah and Ada were making a go at things. Would recommend this book heartily and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. "I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review"

The Miracle of Mercy Land by River Jordan

I had not heard of this author till I selected this book. I picked it because it was set on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and I had been there.  I thought maybe I would recognize some of the places in the book. The book was about Mercy and Doc and the newspaper they publish.  A book appears that can be helpful or not with the information that it contains.  The book contains the story as to how they decide to use the contents of the book.
