Departures by Robin Jones Gunn

Good book for teenage girls.  It it two short stories that continue  the stories of Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen.  Both stories have a focus of how they handle the things that come their way including friendships, boys, and life in general for teenage girls.  A cute read. “I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review”

The Inconvenient Marriage of Charlotte Beck: A Novel by Kathleen Y'Barbo

Enjoyable read that keeps the pages turning. Charlotte is an American who is in Europe  with her step-mother being "introduced" to society, but keeps finding herself in situations that that are not befitting a lady.  Alex is having to take on family responsibilities to keep his family financially sound and in good society standing.  A proposal is made for the two to marry so that they can both pursue what they are really interested in with the understanding that it would be for those reasons only, but soon find that they are better suited than once thought.  “I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review”

Indelible by Kristen Heitzmann

Indelible takes place in Redford, Colorado in the same town as her book Indivisible and shares some of the same characters including the sheriff Jonah Westfall, his newly pregnant wife Tia, and her best friend Piper.  Strange goings on are still occurring in town and high county outfitter Trevor MacDaniel rescued a toddler from a mountain lion and  his life is forever changed.  Trevor begins receiving information about more children in danger and his life and the toddler's aunt, Natalie intertwine to deal with this information. The Corruptible

This is the second book in the Ray Quinn mystery series.  I enjoyed the procedural part of the book that allowed me to try to figure out the ending as I went.  This was an easy read and I think that others in the series would be worth reading.  Ray is a retired detective who now works as a private investigator.  He is able to use his skill in doing this even though he is really only took this case for the money.

Indivisible by Kristen Heitzmann

Interesting read.  It starts off a bit slow and disjointed, but once you get into it, it turns into a page turner.  Police Chief Jonah Westfall investigates some strange goings on in the city starting with the discovery of two racoons that are sewn together.  He warns Tia who he has a past with to be careful as they were found where she walks home each day.  She doesn't like his bossiness, but does try to be more aware.  It can be difficult to read at times as the crimes are detailed, but it is still a good read. Mine is the NIght by Liz Curtis Higgs

A great finish to the story of the Kerr women.  It tells the story of Elizabeth and Marjory Kerr her mother in law and how they continue their lives after the death of Elizabeth's husband.  They must depend on a distant relative for their care.  The description of 17th Century Scotland was very insightful.  A delightful book that is well worth reading.
