The Daughter's Walk by Jane Kirkpatrick

Having just completed Where Lilacs Still Bloom, I was looking forward to reading this book as well.  This story continues after the Estby's journey to NYC to raise money to save the family farm in Washington State.  They traveled  there by walking due to a wager from the fashion industry.  The daughter Clara did not choose to come back and this book tells what may have happened and why she didn't decide to come back and how that decision affected her life. Where Lilacs Still Bloom by Jane Kirkpatrick

This is a fictional rendering of the real life Hulda Klager.  She was a gardener who loved to grow many things including several varieties of lilacs.  She wrote down much of her accomplishments in gardening.  This book chronicles those accomplishments as well as what happened in her personal life with her family and friends.  A good read for those who love growing flowers and are interested in life during that time period. Not this Time by Vicki Hinze

This is the third book in the Crossroads Crisis Center series.  The book has some carry over from the other two books which I had not read, but was still  a good book to read.  It seems that the town of Seagrove village has been hit again by terrorism and the no one knows who to trust.  Vicki Hinze does a good job of keeping you turning the pages to see how things work out and how the characters learn who to trust.
