   I enjoyed this story of Eliza's journey and having to face her past along with her future.  She is faced with going to the land and memories of her past to progress to her future.  She does not want to leave all she really knows and does not want to leave her memories behind.  She comes across a journal that helps her with this journey.      I would find it hard to leave especially during the time of this story.      I received a copy of this book free to review from the publisher.

I really enjoy reading this series of books and look forward to seeing what comes out next.  The pictures are enchanting and they really enhance the story.  It makes a great bedtime story and is great for young readers.  The story of the little bear is fun to read and I would recommend it for all ages.      This book takes us back to Last Chance where Dr. Jessica McLeod has opened up a family practice.  She finds herself intrigued by the goings on of Last Chance, including an obsession with football.  She herself doesn't like it and tends to stick to a routine.  She isn't immediately accepted by the people of Last Chance and finds herself working on that.      I enjoyed this next installment of the Last Chance series and was glad to have a copy to review from the publisher.  I have enjoyed reading this author and while each story reintroduces you to previous characters, they all can stand alone.

      I really enjoyed the next book in the Quilt Shop Mysteries and finding out what Angie was up to next.  Angie finds herself in charge of the town's book rummage sale after the person who was in charge gets hurt.  It is decided that they will use the bookmobile to help with the sale, but that soon turns out to not be an option when Bishop Belier is found dead on the bookmobile and the driver of the bookmobile is found standing over him.  Angie soon finds herself not only having to figure out how to still have the sale, but also having to clear her friend's name in the murder.      I love the characters in this series especially Angie's bulldog Oliver.  It amuses me how he is treated and how he does not like birds, but is great friends with a goat named Petunia.  Petunia is another great character and I would love to borrow her to do some lawn service at my house.      I highly recommend this book and series. ...

     A good read that helps to understand the ties between the Amish and the English.  This book gives the story of the interaction between Quill who had left the Amish faith and Ariana who hasn't forgiven him for leaving.  She is wanting to open a cafe for those who are Amish to work at.  She wants them to be able to work there without having to leave the faith.  Quill is ok with this, but his main goal is to keep her from getting hurt.      I enjoyed this book and look forward to getting to know the characters better in other books.  More from the author can be found at www.cindywoodsmall.com.      I received this book free from the publisher to review.

      Sophie realizes that she will have to take a chance when the war is over by marrying her neighbor.  She doesn't have a lot and  General Seamus Ogilvy  needs someone to help out at his plantation.  She becomes the mistress of the plantation and helps to raise his daughter.  All seems to be coming together when a woman from the General's past comes back into his life.  Sophie has to learn who and how to trust to make it all work out.      I enjoy historical books and learning how the people of the time period acted and what it was like living after the Civil War.  I liked learning of the duties of a plantation mistress and liked seeing how Sophie was able to make things turn out for the best.      I received this book free from the publisher to review.      I enjoy historical books and learning how the people of the time period acted and what it was like living after the Civil War.  I...

     This tells the story of Whitney Monroe who wants to save her business and when she inherits a hotel she thinks she might have found just the ticket.  She finds out that things are not going to go as she hopes in working with the hotel and its residents.  She finds new hope when she finds some items at the hotel that help her to understand what it was like during its heyday and insight into the former owner.      I really liked the backstory in the letters that Whitney found. It is always enjoyable to find out historical facts intertwined within a story.  The information about the WPA and Federal Works project was enjoyable as I like finding out that places I visit today were created or upgraded during that era.  You can usually pick them out by the way they look.  I also love books set at the Outer Banks and enjoy picking out places in the book that I have traveled to.      I received this book free from the pu...
