First Degree Murder (Lantern Beach P.D. Book 3) by Christy Barritt

Cassidy has taken over as police chief and is hoping that things will settle down. She just wants to concentrate on her new life and just concentrate on the minor things, unfortunately that is not going to happen.       I have enjoyed getting to see Cassidy in this new series after getting introduced to her earlier.  We get to see her still keeping things under control in Lantern Beach, but also getting to be herself.

Silent Bud Deadly (The English Cottage Garden Mysteries) by H.Y. Hanna

I enjoyed getting to know Poppy better and seeing how she is fairing with her new business.  She still has a lot to learn and soon takes on her first job.  Unfortunately she runs into another mystery as someone is murdered practically in front of her and she finds herself trying to figure out what happened.       I enjoy the new characters and always love a cat in a book.  A great read.  I received a copy from the author, the review is mine.

Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd

Eleanor has a big task ahead of her.  She has been working with her father and uncle evaluating artifacts and working with family collections to decide what to sell, keep, or donate.  When her father dies and her uncle can no longer carry out the daily activities of the business, Eleanor has to do what she can in an era when she cannot do the job alone.       Eleanor has to work at making the best decisions to keep her family business running.  She has to make the best decisions for the clients as well as her family and deciding what to do with a long time client's collection may be a make or break decision.  I felt for her as she had to decide what was best all around.      I received a copy of the book to review, the review is my own.

Taken in Texas by Susan Sleeman

A suspenseful read where Kendall is determined to do her job no matter what the consequences.  She is willing to try everything to find the kidnappers even if it means teaming up with Cord.  A great mystery that will have you guessing and hoping you are right.      I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

Premeditated Peppermint (An Amish Candy Shop Mystery Book 3) by Amanda Flower

I really enjoy this series and seeing the new candies that Bailey comes up with and how she works around some of the Amish rules and still manages to make great candy.  She finds herself trying to work around making her candies and her ex coming to town wanting to film at her shop.  She does not want him there and when a murder occurs, she has to figure out a way to solve it and find out the truth about what and why the murder happened.      Great series and can't wait to see what Bailey will get into next.

Goodbye Cruller World (A Deputy Donut Mystery Book 2) by Ginger Bolton

I liked seeing how Emily came up with a great way to showcase her donuts at a wedding and how she went to work to see who sabotaged her donuts and tried to put her shop in a bad light.  I like how Emily was able to think through what had happened and to figure out what had really happened .  I enjoy this series and look forward to the next book.

Edge of Peril (Fog Lake Mysteries Book 1) by Christy Barritt

Harper finds herself at Fog Lake thinking that she is there at the request of an old friend.  She soon finds that events there could be related to someone she knows and wants to do what she can to try and stop what is going on there.      I found myself really caught up in this book as Harper tried to find out what was going on and tried to stay alive at the same time.
