Collision of Lies by Tom Threadgill

This is a new to me author and I enjoyed the story.  It was really fast moving and made you really think as it continued as to what was being discovered and how it related to the collision several years ago.  Amara had to do all she could when she found out some new information about the crash and how to act on it on a way that bring about the best results.       I received a copy of the book to read, the review is mine. The Land Beneath Us by Sarah Sundin

I really enjoy historical fiction as I can learn from the story and occasionally research more from what is mentioned.  I loved the story of Clay and Leah as they got to know each other after an unexpected marriage to each other.  It made me think of all the letters that must have gone back and forth during all the wars.  I also enjoyed Leah's story of trying to find the rest of the her family and how it wasn't very easy to do.      I received a copy of the book to read, the review is mine.

Two Steps Forward by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Sylvie has taken a chance by hiring Jimmy Fisher to come and work on her farm.  He knows horses and got introduced to her while admiring her buggy horse.  Sylvie has her hands full running the farm and trying to keep her neighbor (Jimmy's mom) from trying to take the farm.  As the work together to try to get the farm back in shape and to get the finances shored up  they become closer.      I really enjoyed the characters in this book.  While it is book three and characters from the other books appear, it can be enjoyed without having read the other books.      I received a copy of the book to read, the review is mine.
I love the town of Honey Springs and the characters that live there.  Roxy is helping out with food on the set of the Honey Springs Theater's newest productions and Aunt Maxi is is trying her hand at acting when a part comes open.  As the play continues, Aunt Maxi's part changes.  As the production continues, the producer finds himself the victim and it is up to Roxy to find out what exactly happened.  I enjoyed the interaction between the characters and how they didn't always agree on things, but eventually got it all figured out.

An Uncommon Woman by Laura Frantz

I really enjoy historical fiction and An Uncommon Woman gave much insight into the life of a woman living in the 18th century frontier.  Tessa soon finds herself in a bit of trouble and the fort commander Clay has to work on rescuing her.  I could really get into what life was like and see the scenes play out.  I liked seeing how things worked out between Clay and what he had to do even though he wasn't sure about much that went on.      I received a copy of the book, the review is mine.

Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren

I like the action in this author's books.  The main character use to be first on the scene helping others until sidelined with an injury.  He wants to withdraw from everyone but finds his skills necessary.  I liked how he was finally able to overcome his needs for the needs of others.  He is working with Jenny who has more of  a connections to him that he first knows.  This story really showcases forgiveness and the willingness to put others above yourself to do what has to be done for the greater good.      I received a copy of the book to read, the review is mine.

Seconds to Live (Homeland Heroes Book #1) by Susan Sleeman

This book really kept me going.  I did not want to stop, but instead at the end of each chapter found myself continuing on.  I cannot imagine what it would be like to think I was safe and then find out otherwise or to be the ones trying to get it all under control.  The agents have to work together and with one of the witnesses to try to find the hacker and get the information back under wraps.  I am anticipating to see what happens next in this series.
