She Walks in Love by MaryLu Tyndall

     I really enjoyed the next book in the Protectors of the Spear.  Christina is doing her best to have the life she wants, but instead is trying to stay safe from those who want to do her harm.  Jarin has set out to find Christina and protect her.  As they go on their journey they have to rely on faith and who to trust.  They also have to protect the Spear and rely on it to protect them as well.
     I liked this story of adventure and seeing how the learned who and what to rely on as they were on their journey.
     I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

I enjoy getting a chance to read a set of novellas as it gives me a chance to quickly read one story, but keep it going in the other stories.  Each story has similar theme where the main character of the story receives a letter that changes the course of their life.  Each character needs a change and this gives them a chance to alter their lives for the better.  I enjoyed the way that the authors were able to weave the theme through out the stories and how they kept you turning the page to see what would happen to the characters and how the mysterious changes in their lives would turn out.   I have previously read stories by these authors and would enjoy another collaboration like this one. Through Waters Deep by Sarah Sundin

A great historical fiction that takes place at the start of the American entry to World War 2.  This is a story of intrigue with a bit of romance.  Mary and Jim must work together to figure out who is committing sabotage on the USS Atwood.  I liked how the book kept you guessing as to what was going on and who all was involved.  The characters are engaging and I liked seeing how they evolved to become the people they are to get the job done. When Tides Turn by Sarah Sundin

     I have enjoyed reading this series and since I have been studying about WW2 in school, I enjoyed it all the more.  I have liked being about to tie what I have learned in history class with what is in the book because even though it is fiction, it was well researched and gave me a different view on things.  I also enjoyed seeing how the characters interacted even though it was a change of pace for both of them.      I received a copy of the book from the publisher, but the review is entirely mine.
