A Reluctant Belle by Beth White

I loved reading about Joelle and how she did what was needed to keep her family going.  She was willing to take chances for what she believed in and worked with who she had to so that she could get things done.       I found it interesting to see how she learned to work with Schuyler even though she did not want to.  I think I really enjoyed this book as I could related to some of the places mentioned and it seemed like you could really see what was going on.      I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

She Walks in Love by MaryLu Tyndall

I really enjoyed the next book in the Protectors of the Spear.  Christina is doing her best to have the life she wants, but instead is trying to stay safe from those who want to do her harm.  Jarin has set out to find Christina and protect her.  As they go on their journey they have to rely on faith and who to trust.  They also have to protect the Spear and rely on it to protect them as well.      I liked this story of adventure and seeing how the learned who and what to rely on as they were on their journey.      I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

Doom and Bloom by H.Y. Hanna

Poppy has found herself in another adventure.  She is making a go at her nursery and keeping her animal friends entertained.  She is working at creating a park for a pampered pooch and finds herself caught up in another murder.       I really enjoy seeing what Poppy finds herself up to and love the antics of Oren and how he works at getting to his way.

A Reluctant Bride by Jody Hedlund

I could not go through what Mercy did.  She gave up everything and still kept her sweet helpful nature.  She had people looking down on her just because of where she was born, but did not let that stop her.  She was able to find the best in her circumstances and I loved how it all turned out.      Mercy finds herself on a bride ship as she is trying to get out of a bad situation.  While on the voyage over, she finds herself helping others, a carry over from her previous life.  She was able to make the long voyage from London to British Columbia more bearable for many on the ship.       I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series.

First Degree Murder (Lantern Beach P.D. Book 3) by Christy Barritt

Cassidy has taken over as police chief and is hoping that things will settle down. She just wants to concentrate on her new life and just concentrate on the minor things, unfortunately that is not going to happen.       I have enjoyed getting to see Cassidy in this new series after getting introduced to her earlier.  We get to see her still keeping things under control in Lantern Beach, but also getting to be herself.

Silent Bud Deadly (The English Cottage Garden Mysteries) by H.Y. Hanna

I enjoyed getting to know Poppy better and seeing how she is fairing with her new business.  She still has a lot to learn and soon takes on her first job.  Unfortunately she runs into another mystery as someone is murdered practically in front of her and she finds herself trying to figure out what happened.       I enjoy the new characters and always love a cat in a book.  A great read.  I received a copy from the author, the review is mine.

Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd

Eleanor has a big task ahead of her.  She has been working with her father and uncle evaluating artifacts and working with family collections to decide what to sell, keep, or donate.  When her father dies and her uncle can no longer carry out the daily activities of the business, Eleanor has to do what she can in an era when she cannot do the job alone.       Eleanor has to work at making the best decisions to keep her family business running.  She has to make the best decisions for the clients as well as her family and deciding what to do with a long time client's collection may be a make or break decision.  I felt for her as she had to decide what was best all around.      I received a copy of the book to review, the review is my own.
