Crisis Shot by Janice Cantore

Tess O'Rourke is trying to become the best female chief she can, but that all changes one night with the shooting of an unarmed teenager.  She finds herself looking for a new start and finds it in rouge's Hollow.  While there the cousin of a close friend goes missing and she must depend on the help of Deputy Steve Logan to help her track down a murderer.
I liked how Tess realized that she needed a new start and made it happen.  She has to work hard not only at her job, but at getting accepted, but she preservers on. I enjoyed seeing how she was able to open up and work with Steve, not only on the case, but allowing him in her personal life as well.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, the review is entirely my own.
