A Reluctant Belle by Beth White

I loved reading about Joelle and how she did what was needed to keep her family going.  She was willing to take chances for what she believed in and worked with who she had to so that she could get things done.       I found it interesting to see how she learned to work with Schuyler even though she did not want to.  I think I really enjoyed this book as I could related to some of the places mentioned and it seemed like you could really see what was going on.      I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

She Walks in Love by MaryLu Tyndall

I really enjoyed the next book in the Protectors of the Spear.  Christina is doing her best to have the life she wants, but instead is trying to stay safe from those who want to do her harm.  Jarin has set out to find Christina and protect her.  As they go on their journey they have to rely on faith and who to trust.  They also have to protect the Spear and rely on it to protect them as well.      I liked this story of adventure and seeing how the learned who and what to rely on as they were on their journey.      I received a copy of the book from the author, the review is my own.

Doom and Bloom by H.Y. Hanna

Poppy has found herself in another adventure.  She is making a go at her nursery and keeping her animal friends entertained.  She is working at creating a park for a pampered pooch and finds herself caught up in another murder.       I really enjoy seeing what Poppy finds herself up to and love the antics of Oren and how he works at getting to his way.

A Reluctant Bride by Jody Hedlund

I could not go through what Mercy did.  She gave up everything and still kept her sweet helpful nature.  She had people looking down on her just because of where she was born, but did not let that stop her.  She was able to find the best in her circumstances and I loved how it all turned out.      Mercy finds herself on a bride ship as she is trying to get out of a bad situation.  While on the voyage over, she finds herself helping others, a carry over from her previous life.  She was able to make the long voyage from London to British Columbia more bearable for many on the ship.       I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series.
