  The story continues as Sybil discovers and uses more of the holy water.  It allows her to cross between the present time and Middle Ages.  While in the past she runs across Nicholas and to help him stays in the past.  As they dodge the people who were after Nicholas in the first place, they come to know each other more.  Soon Sybil will have to make the ultimate choice.  An enjoyable series.

Trapping, Turkeys, & Thanksgiving by Tonya Kappes

  Mae is trying to enjoy Thanksgiving and still get ready for her wedding day. It's hard to do in the south, so she has come up with a plan to keep in shape.  She decides to participate in the Turkey Trot to help.  Of course things don't go as planned, and she has to solve another murder.  Mae has her hands full trying to solve the mystery and keep everyone happy.  A fun Thanksgiving read. 

Cowboys and Chaos by Elizabeth Pantley

  I love getting immersed in a book and this one really pulls you in.  Whenever the book club chooses a book they become a part of it.  Since I am good at solving mysteries, I think I might be a good fit for the club. It might be a little weird though actually becoming a part of the story.   This time they are drawn out west, the old Wild West and have to deal with the craziness of the time as well as the lack of modern convinces.  The club comes together again to have an exciting time as they find out more about history and figure out how to get home. 

Word of Honor by Hallee Bridgeman

Lynda and Bill have a role to play.  They have to blend in in Istanbul to put a stop to a terrorist threat.  They have a past so it is hard for them to put it aside and do their job well.  Lynda is determined to catch the bad guys since they murdered her partner and  Bill is determined to keep Lynda safe at all costs.   Very suspenseful and page turning. 

Anything but Plain by Suzanne Woods Fisher

 Lydie never feels like she really fits into her community.  She wants to leave but is just not sure.  She gets a chance to have a little more time to figure things out when she is offered a new job. While there she has to work out her feeling and decide what really matters. 

Falling for the Cowgirl by Jody Hedlund

  I am glad to get to hear the story of Ivy. She has worked hard to establish herself a someone she wants to be instead of just who she is expected to be. She gets caught by an old acquaintance, Jericho and has to decide how to handle it . Jericho finds himself growing more attracted to Ivy but is not sure how to combine his past and present. A great read with lots of action. Look forward to more.

Honor Bound by Hallee Bridgeman

  Cynthia and Rick have to work together to save his team and to get out of the situation they have found themselves in alive.  Cynthia has left her life in the United States to work as a medical missionary and encounters someone in her work that soon becomes a threat to her life  She has to get rescued, but has to also help her rescuers.  She and Rick have to work together to overcome their differences and to get out alive.

A Quilt for Christmas: A Christmas Novella by Melody Carlson

  I really enjoyed this heartwarming story.  Fiona is determined to get her mom a quilt for Christmas and soon enlists the help of her neighbor to make it happen. Vera is new to the neighborhood but soon finds herself enlisting the help of others to make Fiona’s wish come true.  I really enjoyed reading how the neighbors and friends came together to make it all happen.

Beneath the Bending Skies by Jane Kirkpatrick

  Mollie has done her best to be a dutiful daughter, but soon finds herself wanting more.  She has spent so much of her life doing everything her father wanted her to that when she finally gets a chance to do something she wants to do, her plans don’t go as she wishes.  She has fallen in love, but her father does not want to lose her and does all he can to keep them apart.  I really enjoyed reading the story of her perseverance and how Mollie learned to come into her own.

Dangerous Beauty by Melissa Koslin

  I really enjoyed the story of Liliana and Meric.  Liliana has taken back her life and now is ready to move forward.  She cannot do this without the help of Meric who has agreed to marry her.  They run into many obstacles due to the circumstances of their meeting. A great thriller that kept you guessing.

A Gem of Truth by Kimberley Woodhouse

      I find the idea of the Harvey Girls something very interesting.  I can just imagine all the people they met and the exciting things they ran across.  Julia has the opportunity to become a Harvey Girl at the El Tovar Hotel and it gives her real insight into others and herself. While there she meets Christopher and they soon become good friends and more.  But as time goes on and he learns more about her, he has to look hard to see who she really is.  I really liked this story and learning about the time period.  Look forward to the next one.

Deception by Patricia Bradley

  Madison is an investigator for the Park Service.  She made the move from violent crimes to white collar after a tragic incident.  While working a case near her hometown, she becomes involved in a case involving a violent attack. Family secrets come to light as she investigates and her grandfather has something to tell her that looks like it will tie to the case, but he too is attacked before he can say anything.  Madison has to decide who she can trust and how to work with a childhood friend and fellow Ranger to find out what is really going on.  

Peanut Butter Panic by Amanda Flower

 Bailey is at it again.  She is keeping busy keeping Swissmen Sweets going, taking care of things around town, and solving another murder.   At Thanksgiving, a visitor dies a the town dinner.  At first it just seems like  a tragic accident, but soon it turns out to be more.  To keep a good friend from going to jail, Bailey and her cousin Charlotte track down  some of the people who could have been involved.   She also has her hands full with Jethro again.  He is the main attraction at their day after Thanksgiving sale and when he gets into trouble, Bailey is called on to "pig sit" him.  She takes him with her as she goes and talks to the suspects and of course Jethro being Jethro you can imagine what happens.  A fun series, can't wait for the next one.

Another part of the saga of the Knights of the Brethren.  Sylvi is determined not to have to marry the person her father has chosen for her.  She realized it will not be a good match and she turns to Espen, one of the Knights to help her out.  She convinces him to marry her and they go on a quest for the holy lamp.  With her father trying still have her marry the man of his choice and Espen is in danger as he pursues the lamp, they both must learn who to trust.  

Red Letter Slay by Tonya Kappes

It's wedding time and  Bernadette and Mac are ready to tie  the knot.  Unfortunately in addition to getting ready to marry the man of her dreams, she also has to find out who married the local DJ.  She has to do this ASAP as the main suspect is the DJ for her own wedding and she doesn't have time to find a new one. Will she be able to handle everything and get it solved for the big day?  Read to find out. I received a copy to read, the review is mine,

 A great story of love and hope.  Lady Karina and Torvald both make sacrifices to benefit their families.  They soon have to decide what is really the best for each other as Karina begins to really care for her husband, but he is still set on finding the chalice.  As things unfold they both realize that plans change and they have to be able to do what is best.

Too Mulch to Handle by H Y Hanna

 Poor Poppy is trying so had to get Hollyhock Cottage's garden back to normal, but it is just not happening.  She is still trying to figure out what is happening with her roses and dealing with the pests in her garden. She  tries out several thing including getting help from her neighbor and the local big garden center.   She is also trying to improve her social life.  She meets someone on her trip to the garden center, but unfortunately her date does not go a planned.  She is now involved in another murder and needs all the help she can get to find out the reason and who the murderer is. I really enjoy the characters in this series especially Poppy and the big loveable cat Oren. I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Old Bones and Ice Cream Cones by Elizabeth Pantley

 Hayden is at it again.  She is trying to figure out what is going on with her boyfriend Hans and trying to figure out another murder.    Hayden is getting settled in at Destiny Falls.  She and her cat Latifa along with the Secret Cat Society are trying to figure out who the old bones that were found belong to.  They have to find out what happened and why.   She also need to find out what is going on with her boyfriend.  It seems as some type of spell is on him and it is up to her to get it all sorted out.  I really enjoy this series and look forward to the next adventure.  I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Critical Alliance: Rocky Mountain Courage, Book 3 by Elizabeth Goddard

  Mackenzie and Alex have to work together to save lives and find out what is going on.  Mackenzie has turned her life around and now helps others to learn about the life she used to have by teaching cybersecurity.  She has to put her skills to use when her father's company is threatened.  She gets help from Alex,  a diplomatic security agent.  He has to work around who she used to be to see what she is now so that they can find out what is really going on and how to fix it.  I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Rangers, Rvs, & Revenge by Tonya Kappes

  The Laundry Ladies are at it again.  I love seeing how they go about finding out who did it.  They go at it again to find out how killed Miss Daniel Boone Days and to get Aunt Helen off the hook.  They have to go about it a little differently, but hopefully will get the job done.  I received a copy to read, the review is mine.

 Millie Kay has come to Holiday Junction to visit her daughter for Mother's Day.  While there she participates in some of the  local activities including a cake walk.  When the loser to the cakewalk turns up dead. Millie gets blamed.  It is up to Violet to prove different.  A fun read I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Fatal Code by Natalie Walters

 Elinor realizes that she had top secret information that her grandfather hid a long time ago.  He was part of a group of scientists working on a nuclear energy project.   She has to figure out what to do with it and how to keep safe as well.   Her neighbor Kekoa is tasked with keeping her safe as she follows the clues her grandfather left behind.  They soon connect and find there is more to the story than it seems.   A real page turner and a great series.  Book three of the Knights of Brethren series finds Mikaela and Gunnar reunited.  Mikaela is acting as a nursemaid and Gunnar is one of the Knights.  Gunnar is on a mission to help the queen and also wants to look out for Mikaela.  They both must work hard for what they believe in and for each other.  I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Blowin' Up A Murder by Tonya Kappes

 Cottonwood, Kentucky is a great town, except when someone is murdered.  The Sheriff and bride get into it as she shuts down the wedding reception due to a murdered worker.  The Bride is understandably not happy and makes her opinion known. Fortunately Kenni and Poppa are able to start figuring out what happened right away.  Great fun and lots of twists.   I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

To Tame a Cowboy: Colorado Cowboys Series by Jody Hedlund

       The story of the McQuaid family continues with Brody.  Brody had come to live with his brothers and their families, but is having a hard time fitting in.  While in town he meets Savannah.  She has been trained in vet skills and comes back to the ranch to live with the McQuaid family and use her skills.  She too is running from something.  Together they work at helping each other work through their problems.   They run into issues as they work to save the mustangs that are running wild near the ranch and the townspeople that Brody has antagonized.  Savannah must face her family and speak up for herself. Hopefully together they can work through their problems and grow closer to each other.

Barista Bump off by Tonya Kappes

  Roxy is determined to shut down the local crime spree by what ever means necessary. She has enlisted the help of Loretta to make the mayor and sheriff take notice and do something.  She is not about to let his disrupt her store or her new life.  This would definitely make a quirky town to live in. 

Malicious Intent: Defend and Protect by Lynn Blackburn

  Ivy had finally met her goal and is ready for the next steps in her company.  She has her new product ready for presenting to the world and someone is out to make sure that does not happen.  Luckily she has the help of her old friend Secret Service Gil Dixon.  Together they have to work together to make sure that all of Ivy's time and research  does not go to waste. The Spark of Love by Amanda Cabot

  I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing the interactions between Alexandra and Gabe as they try to figure out exactly what is going on.  Alexandra has moved away to a small town and is trying to start over.  She works to fit in her new town but soon finds that all is not as it seems.  I liked seeing how things evolved and how the relationships changed along the way. The Lady of Galway Manor by Jennifer Deibel

 Annabeth and Stephen meet as she takes on an internship with his family.  They are in the jewelry business and not only sell jewelry, but also the idea that goes with it .  Stephen is not convinced of the legend of the Claddagh ring, but as Annabeth and Stephen get to know each other, opinions can be changed.  They also find themselves in some life changing situations as the war for Irish independence is going on and have to learn to lean on each other even more.   I received a book to read, the review is mine. 

Until Leaves Fall in Paris by Sarah Sundin

     I liked the historical context of this book.  It really gave an insight into conditions and ways during the war.  The missions of the main characters were interesting and I liked how they had to work around what they were trying to do and what they thought the others were trying to do .  I was really able to get into the story and liked how the author tied together the story and history. Life Flight: Extreme Measures Series by Lynette Eason

 Penny knows how to handle dangerous situations, but when she finds herself on top of a mountain with danger all around her, it put her to the test.  She makes it through this situation , but continues to find herself in danger.  What was thought to be true is now under review and her life is on the line. A very suspenseful read, look forward to what happens next. 

Murder Comes Ashore by Julie Ann Lyndsey

 Patience continues to make headway in her new profession.  She is settling into small town life and working on making it fit in to her job.  She is doing her best to avoid her ex and murder, but soon finds herself involved in another murder.  This time it is her parents that are being looked into.  She soon starts working with Sebastian and reluctantly with her ex to solve the case before it goes to far. 

Murder by the Seaside by Julie Anne Lindsey

  Patience is starting over and has hung her shingle in her hometown.  She is settling in well to her new profession until she is called on to represent her old boyfriend.  His mom is completely convinced that he did not do it, but Patience thinks that turn about is fair play.  She finally decides to look into it and what she finds is shocking.  Patience must find out what is really going on before it is too late. 

Vistas, Vices, & Valentines by Tonya Kappes

  Mae is at it again.  It is Valentines day and fun is being had all around until a dead body shows up.  Soon they are going behind the scenes and finding out exactly what it is like at the dancing competition.  Now the clock is running as the try to figure out who is responsible before there is a big damper on Valentine's day.  Great fun and a great read.  Who knows what Mae and the Ladies will get up to next. 

Never Leave Me: Waters of Time Series by Jody Hedlund

    The Waters of Time continues with Ellen and Harrison.  Both of the are battling health issues and Harrison want them both to drink the water in the flasks that he found.  He believes they have healing powers, but Ellen is not so sure. Soon after Harrison ingests some, Ellen starts to believe.  They soon learn that others are after the healing water and will do anything to get it. I received a copy to read, the review is mine. 

Spoonful of Murder by Tonya Kappes

Roxy's Aunt is a suspect in a murder and it is up to Roxy to figure out who the real culprit is .  There is lots going on in town including fundraiser for the Pet Palace and things are really heating up.   Maxi and Loretta are going at it as they both have a part in what is going on and soon the both find themselves as part of a murder investigation.  Lots of entertainment and can't wait for the next one.
