Emma of Aurora: The Complete Change and Cherish Trilogy: A Clearing in the Wild, A Tendering in the Storm, A Mending at the Edge by Jane Kirkpatrick

I enjoy reading books by Jane Kirkpatrick that are about real people. This set of books allowed us to follow the characters in their trials and successes in settling a new land.  The set out for a change against the teachings and rulings of the community  and decide to settle where they will have more freedom.  They have to trust God in their travels and in the settling of the community.

I was kept reading as I started this book and was glad to have all three together.  It is always disappointing when reading a book in a series to have to wait for the next, but that was not the case here.  It is a rather large in size book which made it a challenge to read (especially when having to share my lap with a cat), but that said it made for a great read over my winter break.
