Double Cross by Diann Mills

This book is full of twists and turns as it carries you through the life of Agent Laurel Evertson.  She does not feel like she is worth much, so she does things undercover that she does not always feel comfortable with.  Because of her passion for the elderly, she is willing to go back undercover and back to the one person who betrayed her in the first place.  While doing this , she meets Officer Daniel Hilton.  She finds herself drawn to him even though he is the opposite of her in every way.
I really enjoyed reading this book and was blown away as to how Laurel was able to go back and forth between the person she wanted to be and the person she felt she had to be.  I don't think that I could put myself in that kind of situation and feel comfortable with it.  It surprised me to see though that she did have problems the second time around even though her overall convictions had not changed.
I have enjoyed this series and look forward to more.
