Gabriel's Atonement by Vickie Mcdonough

This is a great book that gives you a historical view of the Oklahoma land rush through the eyes of Gabe and Lara.  Gabe finds himself drawn to Lara after an encounter with her now deceased husband. He feels that he needs to do what he can to make things right.  Lara doesn't feel the same way, but soon realizes that she needs all the help she can get and accepts Gabe's help.
I liked seeing how the two main characters came to accept each other and work together towards a common goal.  This book made me feel a part of the rush as well as wanting to know how things were going to turn out.  I recommend this book to anyone wanting a good historical read.
I received this book free from the author to review.
