Murder at Rough Point (A Gilded Newport Mystery) by Alyssa Maxwell

     After reading the first three books in this series, I was very happy to find out that there would be another book.  I love the insight as to how they lived during this time and it makes me want to visit the area of Rhode Island where they take place.  I can just imagine attending the parties and dressing up during this time.
     I also enjoy how the mystery is laid out and solved.  Emma is a girl ahead of her time and I enjoy seeing how she is a part of the upper crowd, but still herself as well.  I think it would be fun to get into what she does, minus the dead bodies of course.
    I would highly recommend this book (or any of the others) to read.
     I was given a copy of the book to read and review.

I like how the main character Wren is not afraid to be herself and make the best of her new situation.  She has been raised  by her father in a manner that does not show the money that her family  actually  has, but soon finds herself in a new situation that is not what she is accustomed to. Wren finds herself leaving her country home in Kentucky and having to learn how to fit into her grandparent's home.  She does the best to learn how to act and dress, but deep down she is still who she is beneath all the finery.  She does what she has to for her family, but still remains loyal to her roots.  Wren is a fascinating character an made the book worth reading.  I received this book free from the publisher to review. Saved by a matchmaker by Jody Hedlund

 I really enjoyed reading this book.  Enya's father wants her married to a suitable person and decides a matchmaker is just the person to make it happen.  Sullivan needs to marry to meet his father's demands and decides that Enya will make a suitable match.  The book progresses as they come to know each other and really have to learn to lean on each other even in the had times.  A really good historical read and romance.  Look forward to more.

Saved by the Lawman by Margaret Daley

     Kate is a family court judge who has made someone so upset that they try to kidnap her son, but thankfully Chase a policeman is there to step in and stop the attempt.  He realizes that they are in more danger and works to keep them safe and loses his heart in the process.  I love seeing how he falls for Kate and her son and keep them safe as well.
