She Walks in Power (Protectors of the Spear Book 1) by MaryLu Tyndall

   I enjoyed this story of trust and belief.  Alexia has spent her life protecting the Spear and has had to live part of her life hidden in the forest to escape those who want to kill her.  She has manage to still provide for her village and care for her sister all the while trying to keep safe.  Ronar falls for Alexia and soon finds himself in a greater battle than he has ever fought trying to defeat the wicked forces at the castle.
    I liked how strong Alexia was to go through what she did and still manage to do what she was appointed to do a a young age.  I liked how Ronar worked to do what he felt was right even if he wasn't always sure of it.
    An enjoyable age for many ages.

     I have enjoyed reading this series and since I have been studying about WW2 in school, I enjoyed it all the more.  I have liked being about to tie what I have learned in history class with what is in the book because even though it is fiction, it was well researched and gave me a different view on things.  I also enjoyed seeing how the characters interacted even though it was a change of pace for both of them.      I received a copy of the book from the publisher, but the review is entirely mine.

Love's Fortune by Laura Frantz

I like how the main character Wren is not afraid to be herself and make the best of her new situation.  She has been raised  by her father in a manner that does not show the money that her family  actually  has, but soon finds herself in a new situation that is not what she is accustomed to. Wren finds herself leaving her country home in Kentucky and having to learn how to fit into her grandparent's home.  She does the best to learn how to act and dress, but deep down she is still who she is beneath all the finery.  She does what she has to for her family, but still remains loyal to her roots.  Wren is a fascinating character an made the book worth reading.  I received this book free from the publisher to review. Sincerely Yours by Jane Kirkpatrick, Ann Shorey, Laurie Alice Eakes, Amanda Cabot

I enjoy getting a chance to read a set of novellas as it gives me a chance to quickly read one story, but keep it going in the other stories.  Each story has similar theme where the main character of the story receives a letter that changes the course of their life.  Each character needs a change and this gives them a chance to alter their lives for the better.  I enjoyed the way that the authors were able to weave the theme through out the stories and how they kept you turning the page to see what would happen to the characters and how the mysterious changes in their lives would turn out.   I have previously read stories by these authors and would enjoy another collaboration like this one.
